Susan Rumfitt is an independent jewellery specialist based at her Gallery in the heart of Harrogate. Susan spent the early part of her career working for Christie’s auctioneers and then moved to Phillip’s in London where she ran one of their jewellery departments.

Although based in Harrogate Susan travels extensively for her business which involves the valuation, selling and acquisition of jewellery on behalf of clients as well as courses and lectures on the history of jewellery. Susan lectures for the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies, the "Friends of the Victoria and Albert Museum" and regularly holds jewellery courses and selling exhibitions throughout the UK.

Susan is one of the team of specialists on the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow, and writes for Homes & Antique's magazine. In 2009 Susan joined the Fine Art Auctioneers, Anderson & Garland who are based in Newcastle as their jewellery consultant and area representative for Yorkshire.
